A traditional feature of any World Congress of IFAC is the banner prepared by each host Country.

The banner and logo of the 18th IFAC World Congress

The Congress banner
The banner is inspired to the main tower of the Sforzesco Castle of Milano.
This Castle is a spectacular fortified palace built by the Viscontis and Sforzas, Signori of Milano, who ruled Northern Italy between the late Middle Age and the Renaissance.

The Congress logo
The logo is a reinterpretation of the celebrated Vitruvian Man, or homo ad circulum (man in a circle), drawn by Leonardo da Vinci half a millennium prior to the Congress year
